Before the session, we discuss your role and where the photographs will be used. A company biography, a speaker profile, and a website banner can call for different framing or expression. We use those requirements to plan wardrobe, background, and orientation.
During the session, I adjust posture, hands, gaze, and expression. I watch for the point when a pose starts to feel held or an expression becomes too formal for the intended use. Those decisions shape the photographs we make.

Portraits in Transition is the separate option when your main reason for being photographed is to mark a meaningful personal change or reconsider how you want to be seen.
A new job title alone does not require a Transition session.
Choosing the portrait for the job
A portrait for a small company biography needs to work at a different size from a photograph on an About page. I consider the framing and expression against the place the image will appear.
For a profile image, I look at whether your face remains clear in a small crop. For a larger placement, I consider what posture and the space around you add to the photograph. The intended use gives us a reason to choose one frame over another.
Profile placement
A close crop keeps attention on the face. Review it at the size it will appear on your profile, including any circular crop.
Website placement
A wider portrait gives posture and setting more room. Check the actual page layout before deciding where the subject should sit in the frame.
